If you just think about the revenue Alexa has generated for Amazon over the last two years, you know straight away that every marketer should rely on bots with (artificial) intelligence in the coming years.

Not only are voice assistants revolutionizing customer relationships, but also regular chatbots in messenger marketing, which are taking the shopping experience to the next level. Today, it's already possible to log in to an e-commerce chatbot, have it suggest shoes that match your preferences, and finally purchase your favorite item directly in the messenger without ever having visited the retailer's website. This allows users to stay in their familiar environment while still shopping conveniently. Magical, right?

But how smart does a chatbot need to be to do this? What does the bot need to satisfactorily japan phone number data resolve customer concerns? And how far is the leap from a regular chatbot to a voice assistant? I constantly hear about machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, virtual assistants, voice assistants, chatbots, RPA, and NLP...

But what the hell are all these foreign words? Are they all the same, or do they describe different things? That's exactly what this article is about.



“Foreign words” for understanding
So let's start with the basic questions to help us navigate the virtual and digital depths of the 21st century and its future topics:

Artificial intelligence
Machines with artificial intelligence develop independently based on existing data. If the developers have already fed the program data, such as several travel photos, an AI recognizes a pattern in the existing images and independently assigns new images to elements. An AI is always based on the human-desired purpose, but learns with each newly generated data set. Based on the newly acquired data, it can make decisions more easily, recognize patterns more easily, and thus provide better and easier recommendations or actions.

Wikipedia describes AI as a "subfield of computer science that deals with the automation of intelligent behavior and machine learning." AI is also referred to as artificial intelligence (AI). Thus, the terms AI and KI describe the same thing. One is only in English, the other in German.
