Direct Marketing, the most valued marketing tool

The good news comes from a study carried out by the Direct and Interactive Marketing Association of Argentina (AMDIA). The study was carried out among marketing managers from 150 companies in Argentina. The document revealed that despite budget cuts affecting 90% of companies, direct marketing is growing and occupied 38% of the budget in 2009.

58% of respondents answered that they consider direct marketing to be a tool with a higher rating than the rest when asked if they believed direct marketing was currently a more, equally or less valued tool. On the other hand, when they were asked what level of effectiveness direct marketing had (from 1 to 10) for them, the average score obtained in 2009 was 7.5 points, two decimal places more than in 2007, which was 7.3 points.

Although all these data and conclusions are from a study carried out in Argentina, in this era of globalization everything is trends. Which undoubtedly makes them data worth taking into account. We must remember that the work of direct marketing can be enhanced by the simultaneous incorporation of other tools, the new Information and Communication Technologies.
