There is a huge opportunity in the online world

Post by pappu6329 »

I wanted the last blog post of the year to be something special.

And I thought… what could be more special than interviewing the brand new winner of the 2015 Bitácoras Award for the best Marketing and Social Media blog ?

Well… said (or thought) and done.

So, let's talk to Laura López, graphic and web designer and creator of the blog lauralofer.com, where all freelance designers can find help with information and advice based on their own experiences.

Without a doubt, this is a blog that I read every week and if you don't know it yet, I recommend you visit it today.

With her I will talk about blogs, how to grow one to have more than 13,000 subscribers, how to have more than 230 clients buy your products (after a few hard months of work) through the internet and about the importance of graphic design for companies and businesses.

To start, introduce yourself in case there is still someone denmark telegram lead doesn't know you in the online world... Who is Laura López and what does she do?
Apart from what you have said, I have one more fact that you have not mentioned: Laura López is the winner of the Bitácoras 2015 award for the best Marketing and Social Media blog. How does it feel to achieve something like this and what do you think have been the keys that have led you to achieve it?
Have you ever dreamed or thought that you could win this prestigious award?
I imagine that the road to that Bitácoras award has not been easy… How and when did your business start and what significant problems have you encountered along the way during all this time?
At what point and for what reason (or reasons) did you decide that you wanted to promote your business through the Internet, through a website or through a blog? What possibilities did you see on the web or in the blog that other ways of selling or getting clients did not offer you and who did you look to as a reference to achieve what you wanted?
In your business and its growth over the years… how important is your blog to sell your products or services? In other words: in your experience… is having a blog as important as many online marketing experts say in order to sell online?
Let's talk about the niche you're 110% proficient in: graphic design. Why did you decide to help freelance designers develop their profession?
How has been the response from your readers and clients when you changed the focus of your business from selling services to selling coaching programs or information products for freelance designers?
How important do you think it is for a business (regardless of its size) to have good graphic design in its brand image and to take care of its corporate image?
Do you think that businesses or companies today give this the importance it deserves?
Do you think that a business with a well-thought-out and well-defined brand image has more chances of selling its services or products than one that simply ignores this topic or has completely neglected it?
Can you tell us a little about what new ideas you will surprise us with on your blog or what new projects you have on the horizon for 2016?
What advice (based on what you have experienced) can you give to all the readers of this blog who want to grow their business through the Internet and a website?
To start, introduce yourself in case there is still someone who doesn't know you in the online world... Who is Laura López and what does she do?
I am a freelance graphic and web designer from Bilbao who is currently dedicated to helping other freelance designers through the blog lauralofer.com to reach more and better clients. I am also behind calculadorafreelance.com, an online application to calculate your price/hour as a freelancer to know the value of your time and not lose money.

I am very proud to have been awarded this prize because it is a recognition of all the time and effort dedicated to my project and even more so for having reached the final alongside 2 mega blogs such as Aula CM and Miguel Florido .

The winners were chosen in two phases, one in which the public voted to find the 3 finalists in each category and the second phase in which a jury chose the winner. For me, the support received from my blog subscribers was essential to be able to reach the final. I didn't do a big campaign, I sent some emails during the first phase to ask for the vote of those who had been helped by my blog.
